The Leading Network and Systems Security Training Course in the UK
Network and Systems Security Today
The last decade has brought about changes to the way the UK does business that no one could have predicted. Nine tenths of UK businesses now use the Internet to send email and browse the web, and most websites allow customers to initiate transactions online. Over half of UK businesses offer remote access to systems. This increased connectivity brings with it increased exposure for network and systems security.
New vulnerabilities are identified on a daily basis and as a result the number of UK businesses at risk is growing. As organisations struggle to contain the threats, the number of reported security incidents continues to rise.
What is the Applied Hacking & Intrusion Prevention Course About?
There has never been more demand on the Information Technology function within UK organisations. A typical IT department is faced with the task of maintaining the existing infrastructure whilst keeping in touch with new developments. Network and systems security has become a full time job.
Sec-1 created the Applied Hacking & Intrusion Prevention course in order to assist IT professionals with their network and systems security. The objective of the course is to provide attendees with detailed knowledge of:
- What motivates a hacker
- How a hacker structures an attack
- The tools and methodologies used during an attack
- What steps can be taken to enhance system security in order to prevent an incident occurring
After completing the course attendees are better equipped to ensure their network and systems security is as robust as possible in order to repel attack from unauthorised intruders.
Entry requirements & who should attend:
The course is delivered through a combination of theory and hands-on labs using the same tools and techniques as experienced hackers. The subject matter is tackled from basic concept, progressing to advanced techniques. This provides you with the experience to assess your own systems and to discover and fix security vulnerabilities. Anyone who requires a detailed insight into hacking and network intrusion cannot afford to miss this course. Typical attendees include:
- IT professionals who wish to correctly assess and manage network security
- Security consultants who require a hacker’s perspective of network security
Attendees should have knowledge of TCP/IP and the Windows operating system. (All exploits used on the day can be used on the Linux platform as well as Windows).
Each candidate will receive the following:
- The Sec-1 Exploit Arsenal – Hundreds of scanning, cracking and hacking tools
- Course documentation, including further reading on advanced hacking techniques and exploit development
- Certificate of Accreditation
