Understand the threats that wireless technology presents to your network and how to defend against them; attend CNSP – Wireless Hacking and Countermeasures

Course Overview

CNSP - Wireless Hacking and Countermeasures has been developed to provide you with the skills, tools and techniques required to effectively assess the threat that wireless technology presents to your organisation’s network security.

The emergence of wireless technology has provided benefits to many organisations; around a quarter of all UK businesses have already implemented wireless networks and this figure looks set to grow.

As the number of implementations increases it is critical that IT Professionals responsible for their organisation’s network security understand the threats wireless technology poses to both wired and wireless networks.

In response to this Sec-1 has developed CNSP - Wireless Hacking and Countermeasures.

Key Benefits

This CNSP 2008 module provides attendees with the following benefits:

  • The skills, tools and techniques required to effectively assess the threat wireless technology presents to your organisation’s network security
  • Free CNSP Toolkit, a collection of the latest scanning, hacking and cracking tools
  • 16 CPE credits
  • All the benefits derived from being a CNSP
  • The knowledge required to pass the CNSP – Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures exam
  • Free access to the online exam

You will also gain the knowledge required to:

  • Implement a secure wireless network
  • Defend your wired network and remote/home users from attack
  • Implement a secure wireless policy for your organisation, whether you currently use wireless technology or not
Course Outcomes

This essential 2 day course has been designed to provide you with an understanding of the emerging threats presented to all networks by wireless technologies.

Whether utilising wireless technologies or not you could be at risk from the following 3 issues:

1. Rogue access points
2. Weak wireless implementation
3. Poor maintenance and administration

Day 1 shows you how a hacker constructs an attack against wireless and wired networks through a combination of theory and hands-on labs.

Day 2 uses the same mix of theory and hands-on labs to identify the countermeasures available to protect networks against the attacks covered on day 1.

Upon completion of this course, you will be in a position to fully understand the threats wireless technology poses to your organisation, and be able to create a robust wireless policy that eradicates the risks to your network.

This level of accreditation is unique to Sec-1 and simply cannot be achieved anywhere else.
